  • All large haulers must use the Quarantine Road Landfill.
  • All commercial vehicles, modified pickups, and trailers must have a valid small haulers permit from the Baltimore City Health Department.
  • Small haulers with a valid permit may use the Quarantine Road Landfill (6100 Quarantine Road) and the Drop-off Center at Northwest Transfer Station (5030 Reisterstown Road).
  • Unacceptable materials include paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, acids, caustics, gasoline, mercury thermometers/thermostats, syringes, fire extinguishers, propane tanks, helium tanks, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and any other solid, liquid, or gaseous substance that is regulated as hazardous by State or federal law.
  • Acceptable materials at the Residential Drop-Off Center include household trash, furniture, other bulk items, appliances, scrap metal, cans, glass, plastics, paper, cardboard, tires, electronics, used oil, and yard waste that is bagged appropriately.
  • The Residential Drop-Off Centers are exclusively for use by Baltimore City residents with valid IDs.
  • There is a fee for construction and demolition items of $67.50 per ton.
